Celebrating 17 Years of Architectural and Design Excellence As A Founder Partner of World Architecture Festival (WAF)

GROHE is proud to continue honoring its commitment to architectural and design excellence as a World Architecture Festival founding partner since the festival’s inception in 2008.

The World Architecture Festival (WAF) is the largest global live awards event that gathers top architects and designers to celebrate their work. As a founder partner, GROHE has played a key role in establishing this respected platform, which attracts thousands of delegates each year. This long-standing collaboration supports industry recognition, fosters networking opportunities, and promotes discussions on critical trends such as health, sustainability, and urbanization.

World Architecture Festival 2025 will make its debut in the USA, taking place at the Miami Beach Convention Center from November 12–14. At the heart of the festival sits a unique awards programme. All finalists will present their project live at the event in front of a panel of expert judges and their peers.

It acknowledges research that enhances our understanding of water in the built environment, provides innovative solutions, and outlines how the award will help achieve these transformative goals.

Winning Project: Turenscape's Green Distillation: Maotai's Pioneering Eco-Metaverse Project

Maotai’s Green Distillation is a groundbreaking research and development initiative by Turenscape, aimed at transforming sustainability in the liquor industry. Set on an 8-hectare site, it is designed to manage and handle output of 7,000 tons of sewage and industrial wastewater daily. With the creation of a fully integrated ecosystem that recycles water, nutrients, carbon, and energy, Green Distillation addresses the direct and immediate environmental impacts of distillery operations.

This advanced technological and environmental proposal was welcome evidence of Chinese strong advancement and desire to be a leader in sustainable industrial practices. The monitoring of environmental and performance data, used to fine-tune the technology, makes it a truly research-driven initiative.
